Yeah, no NSP in Colac yet the surrounding communities ate being told to come here… and then what??? There should be permanent signs to point where to go, where ever that would be!
Avoided a few hours of last Friday’s heat by enjoying “The Hobbit Pt 1” in Colac last Friday.
Thanks to the staff for assisting me with with a Seniors Gold Club membership card.
I’ll be back!
Of course, the admission fee would only apply if you were actually going to swim in the pool…wouldn’t it? I’d hate to see families being charged for sheltering there.
Also no reason why they couldn’t go to Copacc with a book or some games for the kids – closer to the supermarket and far cheaper food then the pool. A movie only fills in a couple of hours and is an expensive way to keep the kids occupied, particularly if you may have to stretch your money if you need to feed the kids if you can’t go home, and if you need to find accommodation too.
And how about the library? Shouldn’t that be a safe area for families too? At least there would be something for the kids to do there that won’t leave the family out of pocket. Set up storytimes on code red and extreme danger days. Put out board games for the kids to play, and perhaps set aside a room for little kids to have a nap if they need to. Plenty to do there with a little imagination, and plenty of room.
We want options where we can keep the kids safe without worrying about whether we can afford it.
