A FORMER Colac man says the city’s Memorial Square needs “some tender loving care” to stop long grass and weeds from spreading.
Shabby square waits on mower
Former Colac resident Paul Halliday says the presence of weeds and long grass at Memorial Square is disgraceful.

that part that needed mowing, could of been done with a push mower!
And how was it yesterday (Monday)! Down there at midday blowing all the leaves and dust everywhere, first thing of the day would make better sense, like other towns do.
Why isn’t there another mower available to do it??? Oh that’s right, the Council can’t afford that and the pay raise for Councillors! :-/ The mowing around this shire is a disgrace at the best of times. They keep around the shrine and inside the Botanical gardens tidy, but as for roadsides, Pfft… 🙁
Personally i would far rather see council’s mowers cutting roadside grass then keeping the square pretty.
Priorities!
If he’s so concerned about a few weeds, why doesn’t he deal with them himself?
