There is no such thing as a free lunch
The funding ,above, was pork barrelling by a desperate governments
It happened right across Australia and has left us with enormous debt
It has to be repaid by higher rates and Taxes
It is about time that Council learnt to live within Ratepayers means
With rate rises of 40% over the last 4 years and another 20% compound over the next 3 years Council has totally lost touch with the ability to budget.
The Bluewater Fitness Centre council contribution has blown out 500% in 3 months
Where was the oversight?
And which councillors voted for such largesse?
Just remember who got us into this mess at the next local election
