Hydrotherapy facility takes shape in Colac

Bluewater Fitness Centre staff Lucy Vesey, Russell Whiteford and Kathi Morrissy stand in the completed shell of what will be a new hydrotherapy pool. The pool will provide for warm-water treatments for injuries and illnesses.

Canicrossers from across the state brought their furry friends to race and raise money for the Colac Area Health Foundation.

Junior umpire calls will have spectators seeing green in Colac and district, in a move that could encourage more kids to take up the whistle.

The Green Band initiative is a part of a state-wide program headed by @netballvic to create a more supportive and respectful environment for young umpires.

Colac and district not-for-profits have banded tog

Colac and district not-for-profits have banded together to secure a major five-year, $600,000 program for the region’s service groups.

The Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal announced this week that Colac would be one of three regional Victorian communities to partner in its IRCF capacity-building program.

The initiative will provide funding, workshops and other resources to help local not-for-profit groups boost their organisations, so they can make an even greater impact into the long-term.
