OTWAYS landowners can celebrate a victory after the State Government’s introduction of new bushfire zone planning reforms cutting red tape to build homes.
Residents celebrate change to planning
BMO Victims lobby group member and Separation Creek landowner Peter Jacobs is confident the State Government’s new planning reforms will allow development in high fire-risk areas of the Otways.

The work that Peter, Kate and their team have done here is to be highly commended. Sadly it should never have been required as the State Government had acknowledged as early as last November that they would change the regulations and yet the Colac Otway Shire continued to spend well in excess of $100k to impose extra red tape on our community. Someone needs to be held to account as to why was this money wasted!!!!
Very happy to read, know the area well.good on p.jacobs
