HEAT forced the cancellation of Colac district cricket for the first time this season after temperatures reached 38.7 degrees.

Colac Kana Festival’s committee is keeping a close eye on tomorrow’s weather conditions, with high heat potentially threatening the event.

According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Colac is expected to reach 35 degrees tomorrow, peaking mid-to-late afternoon.

“At this point in time, the festival is going ahead,” Colac Kana Festival president Brayden Smith told the Herald yesterday.
