COLAC and district’s older residents will today celebrate a valuable community service and the help of 38 volunteers.
Volunteers keep service alive
Colac’s Joan John, left, is among the district’s residents who receive meals and visits from volunteers through the Colac Otway Shire Council’s Meals on Wheels service. Today is National Meals on Wheels Day and recognises people like Colac volunteers Colleen Burley and Mary O’Brien, right. The day celebrates the efforts of 78,700 volunteers across Australia.
