IRREWARRA-BEEAC has claimed a David-versus-Goliath-type preliminary final victory against pre-season flag favourite South Colac to reach its first senior football grand final since 2010.

It has taken the club stalwart 18 years to reach 300 games since making her A-Grade debut in 2007.

Bowen will bring up game 400 when he goal umpires the match between Irrewarra-Beeac and Western Eagles today.

Meanwhile, his grandson Noah will run the boundary, after making his umpiring debut for the CDFUA last year.

They say they have seen a marked increase in crashes at Conns Lane over the past three years and say action is needed to stop travellers using the road as a connection to the coast.
