ALMOST five years after a public backlash against Colac Otway Shire Council’s “unsatisfactory” planning department, a councillor says community leaders should feel vindicated.

Colac Otway Shire councillors Chris Smith, who proposed the council apologise to the community over planning services last month but failed to get support, and Michael Delahunty are pleased the council has completed a planning services review and released it to the public.
