A COLAC man is questioning VicRoads’ decision to divert traffic down small residential streets during an upgrade of the Colac East railway bridge.
ROAD RAGE: Traffic detour angers resident
Colac resident Graham Howard is disappointed with VicRoads’ decision to detour traffic down Flaxmill Road while upgrading a Princes Highway rail overpass. The project will strengthen the overpass for freight vehicles.

Oh please… How many trucks are already using that street to get to the abattoir? How is this newsworthy?
Oh my… What does Mr Howard want them to do??? Does he want the traffic detoured around the lake or up another route using about 5-6 other streets… Its only temporary and he had his opportunity to speak up about it.
I’ve lived on Murray st for over 3yrs now and the traffic noise really isn’t a bother.
I wonder how much extra traffic will be using Flax Mill rd once the new part of the Abattoir is built. Will he be protesting that too???
