The Environment Protection Authority has investigated a fish kill in two spots of the Barwon River upstream from Winchelsea.
District’s fish deaths prompt investigation
The Environmental Protection Authority of Victoria has confirmed acidic water in the Barwon River has killed blackfish, eels and carp in the waterway. Dennis Phillips and Nellie Shalley inspected a section of the river at Birregurra where fish have died.
