Colac Tigers junior footballers, pictured from left, Liam Hammond, Max Buchanan and Josh Garner are among four Colac district youngsters who will represent AFL Barwon in today’s interleague matches against AFL Goldfields at Lara. Colac Imperials’ Gabbi Featherston will also represent AFL Barwon today.

Colac Area Health Foundation’s Ami Hillege said the event was a chance to raise important awareness and funds for a local wellbeing centre.

Elliminyt Recreation Reserve has received a $3.3-million federal election pledge.

Wannon MP Dan Tehan said a re-elected Liberal government would commit to investing in the redevelopment of the reserve's pavilion, which has had long-running structural issues.

It's the first funding commitment for Colac Otway Shire, with community groups welcoming the pledge and the shire's mayor calling for more federal attention for local projects.
