Outgoing Colac Imperials coach Dan Casey says a desire to spend more time with his young family was part of his decision to step down from the role.
Casey, who turned the Imps into a contender in an off-field role this season, confirmed this week he had stepped down after two years at the reins.
The father-of-three said the club was well positioned for a gun playing coach to come in and take the Imps to finals next year, but would happily put up his hand if the club was unable to find a new coach.
Casey said he would still be around the Imps next year, with wife Siobhan set to play next at the club again.
