Police found with ‘stache

Colac Police Station is rallying behind Movember, with all male police members growing out their moustaches this month to raise awareness of men’s mental health issues. There’s something special growing on at Colac Police Station this month.

Colac police’s male members are bringing back the almighty moustache across Movember, sparing the razor to raise awareness and money for men’s mental health.

If you’ve noticed a sudden influx of the 1970s law enforcement look around town, there’s a reason; Colac police Sergeant Paul Barker said almost the whole local constabulary was involved with the Movember cause.

“I believe it’s literally every fella – there was a lot of encouragement for everyone to get on board,” Sgt Barker said.

“It’s about a mixture of raising funds and letting people know that it’s okay to speak out, and that men should feel comfortable talking about the stresses they face.”
