A battle 10 years in the making will headline this weekend’s King of Colac wrestling showcase.

Hometown hero Sketch will aim to defend his crown against 15-year wrestling veteran Tommy Hellfire.

Sketch, Colac’s Andrew Clissold, said he had been waiting a long time to have a shot at Hellfire, which will be one of seven fights on the card for Saturday’s event at the Colac RSL.

“I’ve been wrestling for 10 years and this will be the first time we’ve fought each other,” Sketch said.

“We’ve known each other for a long time but never wrestled, so this one is huge,” he said.

“Management wanted this fight to happen, there was a vacant spot for the title and management gave him an opportunity.

“But to be honest it’s a match I’ve wanted for a long time.”

Sketch said he had to get himself in peak physical shape for the gruelling battle he expected.
