Recruits impress on the track

Former Colac Imperials young gun Bailey Scott has been quick to impress at new club Colac.

The Geelong Football League club is two weeks into its pre-season training schedule, training two nights a week with a leadership session on Fridays.

Tigers coach Rowan McSparron said 19-year-old Scott had finished top five in the club’s two-kilometre time trial, while also impressing in repeat-effort testing.

Former Alvie star Liam McGuane has also impressed in his return to the Geelong Football League club, after overseas travel cut short his 2019 season.

“Bailey’s a really good athlete, he’s been really good in the running,” McSparron said.

“He’s doing really well, he was top five in the two-kilometre time trial and the repeat effort, so we’re pretty happy he’s come over,” he said.
