Colac Area Health chief executive Fiona Brew says there will be more testing to meet demand, and asks anyone with even mild symptoms to go to Colac Area Health’s testing clinic immediately.
Ms Brew released a public statement this morning.
She also called on the community to co-operate and help support one another in line with social distancing.

Where To Buy“It’s important that anyone with even mild symptoms, such as sore throat, cough, and fever, does not engage in their usual activities and immediately attends our testing clinic at Colac Area Health.
“Call 5232 5402 to make an appointment for testing.
“We all have a role to play in minimising the spread of the virus by working from home when possible, maintaining high standards of hand hygiene, social distancing, and wearing a mask when this is not possible.
“We need to work together to keep our community healthy and safe, and that includes supporting people who are isolating or waiting for results from their tests. Please keep these people in mind, pick up the phone or text friends and family to check-in with them, whether they have been tested or not and offer to drop off supplies.
“I also ask at this time that we continue to demonstrate compassion and respect. Let us demonstrate this to each other and all members of our community that are looking to us for guidance and support.
“If you have questions about symptoms or precautions, please visit the DHHS website for the most up-to-date information or contact the Colac Area Health support line on 1800 512 424.”
