Positive case at Clearwater

Colac’s Clearwater Transport and Logging has closed its office after an employee returned a positive test to COVID-19.

The case is linked to an infected person from Wydinia Kindergarten and Early Learning Centre. Clearwater learned of the case shortly after the positive test returned on Saturday.

Four other people connected to Clearwater have received tests yesterday after health authorities identified them as close contacts of the case. The four people were asymptomatic as of this morning.

The employee and close contacts are self-isolating under DHHS direction.

Clearwater’s Mick Fenn said the business had shut down its office and it would undergo a deep clean tomorrow, but DHHS has advised that other departments including the workshop and transport operations can continue as normal.
