Colac was the only regional Victorian location to record new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, Victoria’s Chief Health Officer says.
The latest figures show Colac Otway recorded six new cases in the past 24 hours.
Colac Otway now has 23 active cases of COVID-19, and 120 overall since the pandemic began.
Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton spoke about Colac during today’s daily media conference.
“The cases in Colac are the only regional cases today, so we will, I’m sure, see a continued decline in the number of active cases in regional Victoria and a lot of local government areas in regional-rural Victoria that will not see further cases.
Buy the Colac Herald print edition, which has full coverage of all the region’s news and sport.
Where To Buy“That said there might be cases out there, so do not be complacent and think that there isn’t the possibility of cases being introduced into your postcode, if you’re in regional Victoria. Get tested if you’re symptomatic.”
