Colac Otway has recorded five new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Premier Daniel Andrews revealed the figure in his daily media briefing when he said Colac now had 30 active cases.
He said there had been seven new cases in regional Victoria since yesterday, including five in Colac Otway and one at Geelong.
But Mr Andrews said the “overall picture in regional Victoria is very encouraging”.
“In general terms, regional Victoria case numbers remain very low and we are very grateful to each and every member of regional Victorian communities who are playing their part to keep the numbers low so we can meet those trigger points and be able to not simply take one step but potentially two steps in regional Victoria to open regional Victoria up.”

Testing commander at DHHS Jeroen Weimar spoke at the conference about testing at Apollo Bay since the detection of coronavirus fragments in Apollo Bay’s sewage last week.
He said there was no COVID-19 in the wastewater at Apollo Bay two weeks ago, but it showed up in samples taken on September 1 and September 5.
Mr Weimar said he was grateful to Apollo Bay people for getting tested in recent days.
He said that to date all those tests have come back negative.
“We continue to implore people if you are in the Apollo Bay area and you have any symptoms of coronavirus to get in and get tested.”
