Memories of childhood swimming lessons and trips away for regional and state meets will hit generations of Colac people after learning of Don Sainter’s passing.

Former Colac Swimming Club coach and official Don Sainter earned an Australian Sports Medal for his service to swimming in 2001. Don died last week, aged 87.
