Mayor pumps up pipe plan

Colac Otway mayor Jason Schram says the State Government’s approval of a major sporting precinct near Winchelsea should prompt design funding for a pipeline that could supply recycled water to the facility and the Colac region, feeding farms and replenishing lakes.

Colac Otway’s mayor says an approved $350-million sporting precinct near Winchelsea is “even more reason” to fund the design of a proposed pipeline that would feed recycled water to Lake Colac and the region.
