Zero active cases in Colac Otway

Colac now has zero active COVID-19 cases, health authorities say, although a person from the Colac outbreak remains in hospital.

The daily DHHS report has revealed that there are no active cases in Colac Otway or anywhere in south-west Victoria.

The Colac Herald understands one person from the Colac outbreak remains in hospital at Geelong in a critical but stable condition after contracting the virus in the most recent outbreak, but doctors have now cleared them of COVID-19 after they had the virus for weeks.

People can remain ill after clearing the virus.

Victoria has recorded 15 new cases of coronavirus since yesterday, and there are now 216 active cases in the state.
