Champion predicts big career for Lachie

Birregurra’s Henderson family will celebrate Geelong footballer Lachie’s 200th game at the elite level tomorrow when the Cats take on Carlton at the MCG. Henderson has enjoyed a fascinating journey to the milestone match. He is pictured above with mum Vonnie in 2007 when he was drafted to Brisbane. He had a brief stint with the Lions, was traded to Carlton, and after 100 games at the Blues, he ended up at Geelong where he played in his first AFL grand final last season, despite being delisted by the Cats a year earlier. We caught up with proud dad Ian to chat about Lachie’s special career in the AFL.
