Colac Otway has reached 79-per-cent vaccination coverage as a major state-wide milestone approaches.
The district is set to surpass the 80-per-cent mark in time for restrictions easing on Friday evening, with just under 200 jabs required this week to hit the watershed rate according to Federal Government data released today.
Meanwhile, Surf Coast Shire continues to be a leader across the state with 92.5 per cent of its residents double-jabbed, trailing only its neighbour Queenscliffe as the most vaccinated local government area in Victoria.
Corangamite Shire has reached 83.5 per cent vaccination coverage.
All three regions have already passed 95-per-cent first dose rates, and expect to surge to the same mark for double doses in coming weeks.
