Tony Miller notched his 200th blood donation at this week - that's 600 lives potentially saved from his support of Australian Red Cross Lifeblood's vital work. 💪‍

The Red Cross's mobile blood donor centre is in Colac until late next week.

Pomborneit Second World War soldier Jack Easterbro

Pomborneit Second World War soldier Jack Easterbrook is receiving well overdue recognition for his service to Australia.

Private Easterbrook left Australia for the Pacific in 1941 before he died as a Prisoner of War in 1943, leaving behind a young family.

Camperodwn RSL president Alan Fleming, pictured, received original memoribilia from Pte Easterbrook's surviving daughter last week, in time to honour the fallen soldier in time for Remembrance Day tomorrow.

Colac Kana Festival organisers are planning a comeback next year after two years of cancellation from the pandemic 🙌‍🎉

It's been a while since the Murray Street parade graced Colac, so we took a trip down memory lane with these photos of the two most recent events in 2018 and '19 👀

@fallsfestival will have a new venue at Murroon, near Birregurra, when it returns next summer. 🎉🎉

Festival organisers confirmed the iconic New Year’s festival will shift from its traditional Lorne home to Pennyroyal Plains when it returns for its 2022-23 edition.

Meanwhile, organisers also announced this year’s festival won’t go ahead due to COVID-19 pressures – the third consecutive year without the festival after the pandemic last year and fire risk in 2019-20.
