The Colac Tigers have announced their first crop of re-signings, with three members of this year’s Geelong Football Netball League Team of the Year among the bunch.
Co-coach and Team of the Year representative Darcy Lang had already re-signed with Rowan McSparron in August, while the Tigers announced this week that fellow TOTY representatives Adam Garner and Jarryn McCormack were also back on board.
Garner and McCormack were among 10 names announced yesterday, along with reigning Ted Parker Medallist Zach Zdybel, midfielders Leigh Gorwell and Kody Spokes, defenders Jack Melican, Tom Rieniets and Lachy Simpkin, forward Aaron Walters, and emerging ruckman Darcy Howard.
Lang said the Tigers were keen to get the ball rolling to make amends for a disappointing finish to the 2022 season.
After entering the season as one of the flag favourites, Colac lost its final three games of the season as Leopold knocked it out of finals in a semi-final a fortnight ago.

Where To Buy“It’s only early but it’s key to get that core group locked in as soon as possible so we can set a plan for the season coming,” Lang said.
“Obviously these players that have re-signed are important for the club, we rate them highly so it’s exciting to hear that they’re happy to be around the club and want to stick around.”
Tigers officials said they would announce more re-signings in coming weeks.
