A crafty police hound has managed to locate a missing man south of Winchelsea, after the man’s leg became stuck under a log and he spent a night trapped.
The 53-year-old Croydon man was last seen in Wensleydale on Thursday, with concerns for his welfare because he did not know the area and spoke limited English.
Patrols overnight were unable to locate the man.
The search continued on Friday morning with the assistance of SES, Parks Victoria, DELWP and Life Saving Victoria.
Dog Squad canine Toruk was sent in and located the missing man in dense bushland at Breakfast Creek at 11.30am Friday.

The dog managed to locate him as he was concealed by bushes, and he was transported to hospital suffering dehydration and a possible broken leg.
