Alvie to host Good Friday football

Colac Imperials recruit Cullan Spence, pictured with new teammate Jeremy Spokes, will go head to head with his old side Alvie on Good Friday.

A Good Friday clash between contenders Alvie and Colac Imperials is one of the marquee matches on next year’s CDFNL fixture, released today.

The 2023 season kicks off on March 25 with the traditional opening match-up between Irrewarra-Beeac and Alvie at Central Reserve.

The remaining clubs kick off their seasons on April 1 with senior football grand finalists, South Colac and Irrewarra-Beeac, the marquee game of the weekend.

The round two fixture sees a Good Friday clash between Alvie and Colac Imperials at Alvie.

All other clubs will play their Round 2 games on April 15.

There are two byes in the season with a split round across the weekends of May 20 and May 27, and a full league bye on July 1.
