A gas bottle explosion at an Otway campground has prompted fire authorities to urge the Colac community to be careful when cooking this summer.

EXPLOSION: Fire officials are advising the Colac community to check the pan size limits on their gas burners after an explosion at the Dandos Campground near Gellibrand over the weekend. The explosion burnt a hole in a camp shelter’s roof, before a bystander extinguished it.
