A shock encounter with killer whales has given three visitors to Apollo Bay the fishing trip of a lifetime.

Tuna fishing keeps Apollo Bay fisherman Dan Kent busy during the winter months and it was chasing them this week which gave Dan and his clients a rare sighting of killer whales.
