Otway Districts have provided an update on a player who received potentially serious facial injuries in an incident which forced officials to call an early end to their clash with the Western Eagles, saying he has returned home from hospital.
The Demons provided the following update on social media tonight:
“Shout out to the sports trainers and medical assistants today involving the two seperate head/face injuries in senior Football and Netball,” they wrote.
”Netballer Bianca Morrow received an elbow to the face, partially knocking her front tooth out. Bianca will have follow up treatment in the morning to hopefully save her tooth.
”Footballer Connor O’Meara was knocked unconscious during a head collision with an opposition player. Connor, who has been named in the best players for Otway and kicked 2 goals during the game also suffered potentially serious facial injuries during the incident.
Connor has been released from hospital and heading home for some much needed rest.
