MARIA’S MOMENT: Colac’s Mary Testa, 86, will visit her home town Lipari in Italy next month, only the second time she’s returned since she immigrated to Australia in 1953. She said not a day has gone by in 70 years that she hasn’t missed her home town.

@westerneaglesfnc_ Eagles champion Ali Genua says she almost stopped playing netball in her teenage years until she found the Eagles.

Genua, 41, will notch up her 300th senior game when the Eagles take on Irrewarra-Beeac tomorrow.

It has taken the club stalwart 18 years to reach 300 games since making her A-Grade debut in 2007.

Bowen will bring up game 400 when he goal umpires the match between Irrewarra-Beeac and Western Eagles today.

Colac Otway Shire Council’s 2025-26 grants program is offering more than $300,000 to deliver projects that benefit the wider community.

The grants program has three funding streams including community, events and business grants.
