A mechanical issue on a freight train is to blame for boom gates remaining down at Colac’s Queen Street for more than three hours on Wednesday.

DELAYED: Colac’s Queen Street boom gates stayed down for more than three hours after a mechanical fault on a freight train near Winchelsea halted a Warrnambool train service at the Colac Station.
