EMERGENCY LEADER: Roy Moriarty led the Wye River Fire Brigade as captain for 25 years on and off, including during the 2015 Christmas Day fire. The Colac Herald photographed Roy at the media conference two days after the fires that destroyed 109 houses at Wye River and 18 at Separation Creek.
