Colac Otway Shire mayor Marg White has praised long-time Colac Senior Sergeant Ken Slingsby for his dedicated service to the community as he officially marks his retirement.

Colac Police Senior Sergeant Michelle Delaney said the local increase was “largely driven by opportunistic offences, including retail theft”.

What’s got six legs and made a debut at Sunday’s Otway Trail Run?

Canicrossers from across the state brought their furry friends to race and raise money for the Colac Area Health Foundation.

Kirstie Freser took part in the 16-kilometre run on Sunday with her Spanish podenco, Douglas.
