Growing up as a little girl in Norway with easy access to soccer is motivating Tonje Medley to help the Colac Otway Rovers come closer than ever to establishing a women’s program.

The club aims to field teams in a Geelong region competition next year after a positive response to come-and-try days and training sessions under men’s head coach Eddie Dorris and co on Monday nights during the season.

Soccer had taken a backseat for the enthusiast supporter of the round-ball game until her son Thor joined the Rovers’ junior boys’ program.
