SUPPORT: Aussie Hay Runners will load hay onto 15 trucks in Inverell, New South Wales tomorrow to bring to farmers in the Colac district who are currently facing the green drought.

Growing up as a little girl in Norway with easy access to soccer is motivating Tonje Medley to help the Colac Otway Rovers come closer than ever to establishing a women’s program.

The club aims to field teams in a Geelong region competition next year after a positive response to come-and-try days and training sessions under men’s head coach Eddie Dorris and co on Monday nights during the season.

Soccer had taken a backseat for the enthusiast supporter of the round-ball game until her son Thor joined the Rovers’ junior boys’ program.
