Wild start to spring as rain gauges fill

TREES DOWN: Council crews and local SES volunteers worked tirelessly to clear roads and clean up after storms at the start of September.

September started with the worst storm events many have experienced across the Colac district, with wild sea surges and wind gusts described as “tornado-like” reaching almost 150 kilometres an hour.
