A weekend that was supposed to bring Lake Colac into the limelight for hosting its first regatta in more than 20 years has ended in a sour note with a plague of carp damaging multiple boats.

SAVE OUR LAKE: Colac Yacht Club vice commodore Heath McDougall, A-Class sailor Richie Howells, and Colac Yacht Club rear-commodore Steve McDougall are calling on authorities to release a carp virus into Lake Colac after the pest damaged multiple boats during the Colac Regatta.
