Still time to join parade
Colac’s Kana Festival is gearing up for the 2025 festival in its new location at the Colac Showgrounds. The festival, set for March 15, will take over the Colac Showgrounds for the first time with local groups and organisations encouraged to get involved in the “A Country Fair” theme. The annual parade will still feature at the Kana Festival, with local groups and organisations making their way around the Colac Showgrounds oval instead of the traditional street parade along Murray Street. Local schools and community groups have already signed up to be part of the parade, but there’s still room for other businesses and sporting clubs to enter and get involved in the country fun. Applications to be part of the parade close on March 6, while stage performer applications close today. Entries for the annual colouring competition will close on March 7. Submissions for food stalls have now closed but vendor applications are still open until March 7.
