The Saints enjoyed a dominant 18.13 (121) to 7.4 (46) win over the Demons at home on Saturday.

The victory – Birregurra’s fourth in a row – lifts the Saints into second place on the ladder after five rounds.

    The world’s largest torch relay has passed throu The world’s largest torch relay has passed through Colac, and district, sharing its message of peace and goodwill.

The @thepeacerun is an international event founded in 1987 and has completed more than 600,000 kilometres across 150 countries.

The relay has met with world leaders and inspirational figures including Nelson Mandela and Mother Theresa, and is currently on a 15,000-kilometre journey around Australia.

The team will take on the Geelong district league on the King’s Birthday long weekend on June 9 at Winchelsea.

**UPDATE** - Apollo Bay had nominated Hannah McDonald and Jayde Bertrand, while Otway Districts has nominated Brooke Hawkins.

    Young artists have until Friday to enter Colac Otw Young artists have until Friday to enter Colac Otway Shire’s Youth Art Competition.

Stonyford district sisters Megan and Jess Black are among talented young creators who have submitted their work.

The competition encourages people aged 12 to 25 to showcase their creative masterpieces for the chance to win prizes. The competition is open to young people who live, work and study within the shire.

Camperdown beekeeper Anna Carrucan runs a small-scale commercial beekeeping operation and is preparing to undertake varroa mite precautions to protect her bees from the parasite.

Varroa mite is an exotic parasitic mite that kills honey bee colonies and transmits honey bee viruses. It was first detected in Australia in 2022 in New South Wales and has since been deemed ineradicable.
