Creekside weeds must be removed I was delighted to read recent comments by Trevor Uwland of our weed-infested creek. I’ve been banging on about the state of the creek for the past umpteen years, to no avail. It was my public duty to attempt to rid the banks of the creek of weeds which include blackberry bushes, frequently filling my green bin with the refuse. I also agree with the comment about the “scrapture”. Friends from Melbourne have frequently commented, negatively, about the sculpture park. If Debra Chant likes the pieces so much, perhaps she could utilise Mr Uwland’s truck and excavator and take (the majority) of these unsightly pieces home. Barb Marriner, Colac Pay attention to hunt for virus Let’s go virus hunting… You won’t need a gun but you will need attention, for you kill this virus by isolation. Without a host this virus dies all by itself, that’s why it devotes itself to spreading. It does so on those miniscule droplets of moisture that pass between us through the air or picked up on our hands and then we (dumbly) pass that virus onto its next host. So are you ready? Let’s go virus hunting, killing it by isolation. Let’s nor sneeze or cough on others or place the virus where it can spread. And regardless of an appearance of health let’s be vigilant. Let’s isolate Covid-19 and watch it die. Can we count on your attention? P. Brown, Kawarren
