In the standalone CDFNL clash, @birregurrafootballnetballclub took on @apollobayfnc on Saturday. 

The Saints came out on top in both the football and netball.
    One year after arriving in their new home, Colac’s Irunga family is thriving.

The Irunga family, including Mother Sifa and children Jenani, 20, Dezire, 16, Fabrice, 13, Samuel, 11, Ireni, 8, and Erize, 6, arrived in Colac in May last year after living in a refugee camp in Kenya since 2015.

Community members gathered on Saturday to celebrate the first anniversary of the family’s arrival and their achievements during their first year in the district.

    Local CFA brigades turned up the heat against the Local CFA brigades turned up the heat against the Emergency Services and Volunteers Fund at a rally in Colac on Friday, with another planned at Winchelsea this week.

Volunteers turned out to hang up their uniforms at an event in Bromfield Street, before a convoy of more than 12 trucks sounded sirens and rolled along Murray Street.
