  1. A prank…where are their brains, if they have brains, doesnt seem like they do. What longterm effect have they caused to the kids and their parents??? Who would even think to do such an irresponsible act??? A stern warning??? What about a bit more than a stern warning, this is a parents worst nightmare, read the paper, how do those parents in Queensland feel 7 years of hell on earth, and a lifetime of loss, and these irresponsible adults, not 14 year old teenages, adults…in a car driving…adults who made a decision to diliberately frighten these little kids in such a way that it will be with them for the rest of their lives…and they say sorry its a prank…whats gone wrong with some people, it is mind boggling how some people act, and l dont think people over reacted as stated in your acticle, stupid stupid act by even more stupid people

  2. Hold on a minute – they were travelling in a car so at least one of the teenagers was an adult. So charge that one with attempted kidnapping.
Two passengers in the car so either the one of the other two was related, the adult was a green p-plater or he was illegally carrying two passengers. If the third option, charge him with that driving offence.
And name and shame the adult who had to have been involved in this attempted kidnapping. Make all three of them pay compensation to the children they attempted to kidnap.
It’s easy to say it was a prank but if those kids had gotten in the car, it was kidnapping. Attempting to get them to get into the car is attempted kidnapping. No if, no buts and no maybes.
Charge them!! We don’t need other idiots getting the same idea

A stern warning? What is that?! How is that going to make up for scaring two little kids! They should apologise to the kids and their parents. And some sort of community service and their name on police records. I hope the teenagers truley understand what they have done and the seriousness of their disgraceful actions. I hope they are very ashamed of themselves!

My mind bobbles to think what would have happened if those kids had have got into the car…… this was a malious act of cruelty to those children, scared out of their minds, in context there is huge media coverage about young Daniel Morcombe, who was taken, encouraged stolen by someoen in a car, children hear our concerns. I beleive that a stern talking too is too lenient but i am at loss to know how these young adult should be made to realise the extent of their prank. to call the reaction HYSTERIA is again down playing the concerns and real fears of parents…. these parent did not know it was a “PRANK”, children all over the world get into cars and are never seen again.
