No-one goes to the “paper” unless it’s the last resort. Kay had tried the other options and they failed. Often the parents of bullies won’t or can’t do anything to stop their children bullying and teachers have very little meaningful consequences that they can implement. This is why this problem is continuing, because of ineffective responses from the teachers and the parents of bullies.

  2. If this happened at my school and my kids were involved – no way would I go near this woman for a meeting I would end up in the paper and on the news next lol thats probly why they didnt show…

  3. Extremely disturbing that no other parents bothered to attend the meeting. Indifference from the other parents doesn’t help solve the problem, it only tells the bullies that their behaviour is acceptable.

    1. Only one of the four other parents involved was notified. The school did not notify other parents if the children involved. The school has not handled any of this well at all. None of the parents support bullying but they did not know of the incident until it was in the media. Everyone is frustrated at the school’s lack of responsible management. Hopefully a full investigation will be underway soon!
