  1. matt – it could also be called inattentive driving – when they have driven past 5 60km signs and suddenly realise it’s a 60 zone and speed up at the 6th sign.
Drivers have a responsibility to look at the signage on the sides of the road – and a driver not noticing a sign he drove past is exactly what caused the accident in this article.

  2. Jo – what’s the hurry? 10km less isn’t really all that of a big deal. It actually means safer roads, and people are encouraged to drop their speeds down from between 10 & 5kph, in all speed zones.

If someone was doing 20 or 30 in a 60 zone, then that’s a safety concern, but 5 or 10 under the limit is called safe driving. Jo, enjoy life, don’t rush, just take your time!

  3. You only have to drive in a signed 60 zone and be stuck behind the drivers doing 50 to know how many drivers don’t read road signs ever!
