Ya spot on Jo! But that’s the trouble with this town, almost everything that happens around here is decided or designed by people that live outta town.
I might start buying Lottery tickets in hope of the jackpot so I can fix some stuff around this joint!

  2. Unfortunately what Vicroads sees is not indicative of the problem at that intersection. Most drivers only turn left at peak times, driving to other intersections to get across Murray st or turn right because it is simply too hazardous. Personally i drive up to McDonald street to turn right, and to Grant st to go across.
Perhaps Vicroads needs to let the people of Colac know when they are going to be monitoring the road and the people that avoid it use it for the duration so they can get some real idea of the traffic that WANTS to use it.
The intersection is not as busy as it should be because we would like to survive the drive across. If all the people that wanted to use that intersection actually did the accident figures would be much different.
