A COLAC man was seconds away from death after a Memorial Square tree branch fell in his path.

Colac’s Laurie Graham and his friend Lyn Morgan nearly became victims of a falling tree branch at Memorial Square on Remembrance Day.

Once again the council are looking like fools! :-/ Most locals know and realise how dangerous these trees are, but tourist dont! As much as the trees look nice I honestly think they should be removed and replaced with a native species, something more suited to Australian conditions.
The trees up the west end of Murray st, between Sinclair & Cants should also be removed ASAP. There are bits and pieces of them nearly every day. I see trucks on the white line in road centre to avoid hitting branches.
This town has so many potential law suits it crazy!
