    People in Colac are going without meals and being People in Colac are going without meals and being forced to eat expired or spoiled food, a charity leader says.

The Salvation Army released new research this week after surveying more than 3500 people who had accessed assistance nation-wide. 

The research coincides with the Salvos’ Red Shield Appeal, which is the service’s biggest drive of the year.

The group was led by Colac Police Senior Constable Steph Ward, along with other students, parents, teachers and community members.
